Going to the Edinburgh Fringe has been an eye-opening and transformative experience for
me. Flyering on the iconic Royal Mile allowed me to connect directly with audiences and
performing gave me the opportunity to gain valuable insight into how theatre can captivate
and engage people from all walks of life. Participating a workshop for young children showed me the power of theatre in education and its potential to inspire future generations, something that my university degree should help me achieve.
Watching 21 shows exposed me to diverse creative styles, narratives, and performance
techniques, broadening my understanding of the theatre landscape. It also solidified my
passion for pursuing a career in the theatre industry. While my original dream was to work as an actor, this experience has opened my eyes to the many different roles within the sector.
I’m excited to explore them all as I work towards a future in this incredible field.
